Who I am

Hello, I am Sam Clayton Ingesoulian. I am a Fine Art, Landscape, and Commercial (see affiliate link below) Photographer based in Lake Orion, Michigan.

I have always had a love for photography, ever since I was a little kid. As a kid, my fascination with landscape photography ignited on a family camping trip. Surrounded by towering pines and the stillness of a glassy lake, I felt an irresistible pull to capture the world around me. My parents handed me a simple point-and-shoot camera, a relic from their own youth, and I began to frame the breathtaking scenery through its tiny lens.

I remember the thrill of adventure as I darted around, snapping photos of the sunrise painting the sky in hues of orange and pink. Each click felt like a secret pact with nature, a way to preserve those fleeting moments forever. My young imagination transformed every rock, cloud, and tree into a larger-than-life spectacle. The magic of that experience urged me to explore further—into forests, along rocky coastlines, and up into mountain ranges.

Back home, I would rush to develop my film, watching with anticipation as images slowly emerged, revealing the beauty I had witnessed. The joy of seeing my own landscapes come to life was intoxicating. It fueled an insatiable desire to learn, experiment, and improve. I devoured books and magazines, absorbing tips on composition and lighting, dreaming of the day I could translate that passion into my own bold creations.

The seeds of my landscape photography journey were planted during those formative years. The world outside became my canvas, and I set forth not just to capture it, but to speak to others through the artistry of nature. Here I am now, continuing to embrace that initial spark, fierce in my pursuit of the extraordinary landscapes just waiting to be discovered.
